Repository development is an ongoing process that must address the demand for mining-related contaminated waste disposal for the entire Basin environmental clean up program and the Institutional Controls Program (ICP). Without new repositories, continued cleanup and control of contamination is compromised and potentially stopped. IDEQ is the lead in developing repositories and the effort is coordinated with the Repositories PFT and EPA.
